This camp is designed to teach students how to successfully import, edit, add effects, transition, and export video in Adobe Premiere software and upload videos in high quality for YouTube. 
 

Introduction

Video Editing is quickly becoming more sought after with YouTube taking over TV. If you are curious how YouTubers are able to edit and render their videos, this camp will help you learn just that. Each student will have access to KSI's Developer Station which comes fully equipped with Adobe Premiere and will be able to share recording equipment or even bring in their own!

Objectives

  • Adding effects to videos
  • Using transitions for videos
  • Rendering videos in HD (1080p 60fps for Youtube)
  • Record and edit footage for a short film or announcement of any kind. See this as an example:

PROJECT SUBSCRIBE
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: MODERATE 

Whether screen capturing for your video game commentary channel, making a personal vlogs, instructing tutorials, reactions or short multimedia, student will learn the fundamentals of Adobe Premiere to have their video ready for YouTube with HD rendering and editing features.

PROJECT ANIMATE
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: EASY TO MODERATE 

Learn how to morph objects into shapes and make an amazing intro using keyframes. Learn how to animate text and titles. And understanding lighting graphics to distort or amplify your animated effects.

PROJECT YOUTUBE GAMING
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: EASY TO ADVANCE

This project involves using fraps or other screen recording software to gather gaming footage for a YouTube gaming channel. You will learn how to edit, add sound, avoid jittering and add an intro and outro for your gaming channel.

PROJECT ADSENSATION
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: EASY TO ADVANCE

This project involves designing and advertisement using only text and graphics. See the "How to Camp" sample video of what you will learn how to create. 


HARDWARE & SOFTWARE

KSI provides a Developer Station for class that may be used by all students. This requires students to work together and use materials thoughtfully. Purchasing equipment is the best course of action as this allows students to take materials home with them. We provide you with the hardware and software purchasing details which are typically available on Amazon. Hardware and software requirements for the Video Editing - Adobe Premiere camp are as follows:
